| My son had problems with his Lama 4 from day one. He got fed up with it and sent it to me last September. He had already put on an Xtreme extended shaft and the Xtreme Sport Package($$$$$$$). I determined that it had a stripped screw in the shaft collar above the bearing housing which allowed both shafts to move up and down and destroy both gears. I've since changed both motors for Aero-Nutz motors and installed longer servo arms. I find this heli to be too big to fly in my house, so, I'm going to have to take measures to get it to fly outside on calm days. | |

| I just got a Co-Comanche from (Blazemob) its was one of the helis he trashed while learning to fly, getting ready to do a complete re-build because I think he might have stepped on it | |

In your case, I think you can get away with that size heli. In mine, it's too big for my house. Any parts you need are available from Eboyztoyz and they're in Central Falls = 1 day shipping!!!!!! I ordered my Aero-Nutz motors from them and then had an afterthought on some other parts. In the hour or so that it took to check back, they had already emailed me the tracking info.

I ordered from them yesterday. Unfortunately, they have to charge tax, BUT, S&H is only $2.50!! I should get it tomorrow. Got my shipping info today.

| I got my LAMA V4 flying. It was a derelict I got in a package deal with some other stuff. It had alumimun swash, upper head and tail boom from Boomtown Hobbies. I bought white hard blades and Supershaft 2.0 from HELITEC-RC and Aero Nuts motors from Boomtown. I removed the weights from the flybar and installed 1/8 wheel collors. Got it all together and it flies great in my garage. I am just weighting for an opportunity to get it to the gym to really try it out. The only strange thing about it is it spines real fast in one direction and slow the other way. My CX 2 is not like that. Ron | |

Mine was like flying a brick compared to his. I just put on AeroNutz motors and the longer servo arms. I can see the difference in response now. I ordered new stuff from Eboyztoyz including new inner shaft gears because it seems a lot more jittery now. I'm hoping what I'm seeing is a gear with bad teeth and not something else.

I got to say my CX2 is more responsive, at this point. I think when I get the longer servo arms the LAMA will be better. I still don't understand why my LAMA spins like a mad banshee to the left and just barely spins right. And yet it flys as stable as a mCX. It will literally just set there, dead still. in a hover, at neutral trims. Ron

If it looked good then, moving the links out on the arms will make it that much better. I'll have to wait until we get some warmer weather to take it out to the garage and try out the new motors and servo arms. This thing is too big for anything more than hovering in the house.
