Okay,

I just looked again and want to post this so as to make sure my lack of knowledge of the terminology doesn't get in the way.

When I am spinning up. The tail moves to the left. I pressed the left stick on the controller towards the left and it can almost stop the heli from spinning but the tail motor is barely spinning. If I press the left stick on the controller to the right, the tail motor will spin really fast and the tail will go right very quickly. I tired to change the proportionality, this didn't seem to make any difference?

Thanks!

If you are standing over your heli looking down on it, when you move your left stick to the right, the NOSE should move to the right, the heli will rotate clockwise.

When you move the left stick to the left, the NOSE should move left, the heli will rotate counterclockwise.

If you are trying to keep the NOSE from moving right, clockwise, turn the proportion pot, JUST A TINY BIT, counterclockwise.

If you are trying to keep the NOSE from moving left, counterclockwise, turn thr proportion pot, JUST A TINY BIT, clockwise.

NOW, the proper way to adjust the proportion:

Set the rudder trim to center.

Try to bring heli to a hover.

Determine which way you need to adjust proportion pot from the above info.

Unplug heli

Adjust pot

Plug heli back in

Test by trying to hover

Repeat this process until heli is adjusted to suit you. Be sure to unplug heli before each adjustment, and make only tiny adjustments each time.

Hope this helps,

Okay maybe I can make some more since of this.

When I turn the gain all the way to + the tail moves to the left. When I turn the gain all the way to - the tail moves to the right. Either way, when I press right on the left joystick the tail motor spins real fast and pushes the tail to the left. But when I go to turn right(push the stick to the left), the tail motor doesn't seem to spin hardly at all and im thinking it might actually be bogging the main motor(that might just be my imagination)?

So it seems like my left turn with tail motor feature is broken?

No, that is the way a fixed pitch heli works. To yaw the heli one way the tail motor speeds up. To yaw it the other way the tail motor slows down, and maybe will stop alltogther, depending on how much stick input you give.

When you move the rudder stick right, the NOSE will move right and the tail will move left.

When you move the rudder stick left, the NOSE will move left and the tail will move right.

Well shucks, it looks like maybe it wasn't broke at all? I adjusted the gain now the tail doesn't really move that much until it starts to get closer to lift off at which point I can love the throttle stick to the right to compensate for for the tail moving right. I think maybe I just need more practice? Also, that gain switch is still hard to get to. I have to stick a TINY screw driver in there to get to it, and have to press down on it to get good enough grip. Oh well, thanks donnie!

Great. Just be aware that a single rotor heli isn't gonna lift off streight up. You have to compensate for all kinds of movement and ground effect with your rudder and cyclic controls. That is why it is important to just go thru a couple of batterys just getting light on the skids and maybe up a couple of inches and right back down, so you can get a feel for how the heli reacts at lift off.
