swash plate leveler

I'm getting ready to mod my sky hunter with the metal head will I have to use a swash plate leveler?

No. You can level it by yourself (with eyes ) or use suriano method

But he WILL need to level it some how won't he??

Yes he will. I'm just saying that it's not mandatory to buy swashplate leveler. You can just level it with eyes or use suriano method

It should not be done by eye!! Some other tool needs to be used!!

Yea any thing that starts you out at a solid spot and you can go from there!! But any noob who is gonna keep at it should just spend the 7 bucks or whatever it is.. There gonnaneed it!! and its so much easier to just slip it on the shaft!!!

Here is what I did. I went to the hardware store and got two replacement bubbles for levels. $0.99 cents a piece. Then I got a big fender washer that was big enough to fit around the shaft and a small enough to fit with in the balls on the swash. I two part epoxied the bubbles to the washer in a right angle. Awesome little tool for a couple bucks and REAL accurate. I use a piece of plywood on top of a glass table for a workbench. Just level the wood with playing cards. You can pretty much get whatever washer you need to fit whatever shaft you have, it's great. I never leave anything to the eyes. I have shown a person how his swash was out when he used a trad swash leveling tool.
