I ordered a honey bee v2 and am looking to get some spare batteries for it before it arrives. My LHS only has 11.1v for the CP2 and King's. Do they work with the HBv2 as well?

hey kaymm2,
the 11.1v are the correct batteries for the new v2 `Bee`.

it`s the `old` Bee that uses the 7.4v

happy flying when it does come friend,it`s great fun but can sometimes get a little `frustrating` :giggle:

Would all 11.1v lipo batts work? I notice the batts for the king and cp2 have different part numbers from the v2 so that's why i was wonder if they were compatible.

I have a Trex clone I haven't built yet and it came with a 11.1v batt as well. Same with my walkera 22e, it's 11.1v. But they are different in physical size.

Is there any reason to convert the hbv2 to brushless or is it fine with the stock 370?

I hope I can get better with the hbv2 before I can fly my trex clone.

If your new to Flying helis then i would just fly the little guy stock!
Only problem with my HB V2 is it can't fly in warm weather. Spins the stock blades to fast and inverts them creating it to drop altitude! Waiting for my "fragile" wooden blades to come...
I will usually just fly it in the morning then when the weather gets warm. switch to my HB v1, that thing still works great in warm weather stock!

For honey bee V2 it is best to use 11.1V 800-1100mah lipo batteries. And I think there is no need to convert honey bee to brushless motor, while learning to fly :grinn:

Wow really? I have been flying mine in 85+ degree weather and haven't noticed this. Is it hotter than that out in HB? I thought it stayed pretty nice temperatures out that way?
