What's the biggest fixed pitch heli you can buy? Does a 600 class FP exist? I really don't need to fly upside down or do 3D manuever but would love the stability of a big heli.
If they made a big Honey Bee or a E-Smart 600 FP edition, that would be awesome. But I think most are 300-400 class. What about getting an ES600 and "crippling" it somehow through the TX or changing the mechanical parts on the rotor head?
I bet once you get your CP heli flying, you will like it better than a FP. I love my HBFP, but I use it as a trainer to help me learn new stuff. Like you, I have no desire to fly 3D, but I love flying my CP helis more than my HBFP. They just handle differant. They are more stable not only because they are bigger, but because the mechanics work together better.
I'm just a bit confused with the CCPM helis with the idle up switch. Do you flip that after hit mid stick to make it go higher? What about throttle curves and pitch curves? is it progressive 0%/25/50/75/100? I'm don't get what I shoudl set those at.
I noticed on your helis you have a linear curve for throttle most people have a V curve. So does that mean you're able to hover and do forward flights only?
Why do you have -5 for the hold mode? Are you cutting the throttle with hold mode?
I still don't understand why most throttle curves are a V, like 100%,75%,50%,75%,100% in 3d mode. If I move the stick bottom to top does that cause the heli to flip?
I set my normal mode and stunt (idel up) mode the same because I don't fly 3D and I don't have to worry about accidentally hitting the idel up switch. I use throttle hold for set up. The -5 on the throttle is just to insure there is no throttle input in that seting.
When 3D pilots have a V pitch curve, that is so they will have equal neg and pos pitch for inverted flight.
