My HB v1 looks pretty bad. Need a new Servo for Aileron. While taking off the zip tie for the wires, i noticed most of them have been worn down to the copper. sad122
Tail Wire, other servo arm and main motor and tail motor wire worn down.

Should i just put the poor girl down?

Nope, there's life left in that bird yet. Go to the hardware store. Pick up some of that liquid rubber insulation like you dip tool handles in. Carefully seperate the wires and paint the stuff on the wires to reinsulate them and let it dry. Then be sure to tie the wires up better this time.

Another option if you can solder, get some heat shrink tube, the small diameter. Cut one wire at the time. Slip a piece of heat shrink over the wire. Solder the wire back together and shrink the tube over the bare wire and solder joint.

Always more than one way to skin a cat. Or if you are a PETA member, a human.
