Thunder A6 question

Got mine today. The cd that came with it says 25 minutes. I down loaded it and all that comes up is chart to monitor voltage, current, etc. Is there more on this cd? I have windows vista. I saw some where that the battery charge connector and the dean's connector need to be hooked to charger to charge. Instruction book isn't very good. Do new batteries need to be charged, discharged, recharged before use? What is the cable with a dean's connector on 1 end and a prong with a nut on it foe?

You better charge and discharge the battery 4 times before use.
