| I think i;m ready for a 3d heli. Been flying for almost 3 months now and I can sling my 4ch micro's and HB v1 and v2 around pretty good.
Any suggestions? I really like the 4g3 since i do most my flying indoors. I just don't like how Walkera stuff loves to break so easily.
I have a basic simulator and the g4 demo. Any recommendations on a 3d heli would be awesome!
Thanks again. | |

| Hey Willy, Do you want to continue to just fly inside? Are you wanting RTF? What's your budget? All things that have to be answered to make fair recommendation. J. | |

| Since Winter is coming, prolly doing alot of inside flying i wouldn't mind going outside when the weather gets better. I have a 2000 sqft warehouse to practice in when i like.
Budget, i would like to spend no more than 300 bucks and i would like a RTF

| Well if you're an E-sky fan you gould get the Belt cp v2. I think that whatever you get you should probably get a 72mhz version because it is cheaper, so you wont be out too much when you upgrade to a programable tx. A lot of people here on the forum have the belt cp v2, including myself. There is also this. I think Fatdaddy has one of these. J. | |

| I would prolly just want a nice Tx when i get the cpv2 i like the way that king3 looks though.
Any suggestions on a Transmitter? I have no idea how those work except for what comes with my heli's. Never had to bind.

| Hi Willy, I am using futaba 7C 2.4ghz transmitter and I am very happy with it. I think 3d without comp tx is impossible. And programing isn't as hard as it looks. And we can always help | |

| All depends on how fast you want to progress. By this I mean, if you are thinking that within the year you are going to be into either nitro helis or scale helis, you should get a DX7. If you are going to take your time and just want a good tx then get a DX6i. (this is what I have) You can look on the Spektrum site to see the differences between them but for the most part the only difference is that the dx7 has 7 channels instead of 6(all you need to fly cp heli), it has 20 model memory instead of 10, it has 3 flight mode positions instead of 2. They both have 5 point curves. In another post somewhere, nuttz said that you should be sure that if you get one that you get it from an authorized dealer. Some places sell them but are not authorized dealers. Futaba, JR and Airtronics also make good comp tx's. Binding is not hard and if you run into trouble just send up a little smoke and we'll see it!!! | |

| Again thx for the info guys. I went to my LHS and found this guy http://www.e-fliterc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLH1400 comes with the dx 6i and the LHS said they would sell me the heli and controller for 330.00 not including taxes. Not bad? I wish it was a e-sky but this guys shop had some really good prices on parts. Cheaper than the internet in most cases. 5 min from my house. Just wondering about the heli. Any e-flight guys out there can give me a solid opinion? | |

| If you want an Esky, you might want considering Belt CP v2 with Futaba radio, available at RC711 | |

| Thats about $130 cheaper than I have seen that combo anywhere else. I know its not an E-Sky but almost all LHS's carry E-flite parts and almost none of them carry E-sky parts so that would be a bonus for you. Sounds like that LHS might be going out of business, parts cheaper than the net, $130 off an RTF??? Even if you were to buy a belt cp v2, you would spend more money upgrading to the dx6i and have a e-sky tx and rx just wasted, than if you would buy that kit. I have never had or heard any reviews of the Blade 400 so I dont know how it flies or how hard or easy it is to work on. Just my , I would go for it. | |

| Thanks J Ya, i don't know why its so cheap. That's why i came to you guys! Now i just need to take that step and purchase it. My brother got an e sky belt 3d as a beginner despite what i told him and you can guess what happened. I'm going to help him repair it and see if i like working on 3d's and get a lil more familiar, who knows maybe he will just get frustrated and give it to me ! | |

| That's why I said it was my . Not trying to talk anyone into anything and hope it didn't sound that way. I just know that I bought my belt cp v2 before I could even hover my hbfp very well, then I bought the dx6i and reciever to put on the belt cp. From a cost point of view it would be cheaper to get the deal that he is talking about rather than the other way around. The fact that he is even looking at cp helis tells me that he wants one, so why not try to save him a little money, if that the direction he is headed in anyway?????? Willy, sorry if my info was mis-leading in anyway. Donnie is right in the fact that you should know how to fly your fp very well before going to cp, but if your headed to cp anyway, you know what I think. J. | |

I would pick HBCP3 It is a 3d trainer Heli. I would not recommend the HBCP3. It comes with a crappy radio and the LiPo battery is 10c rated. Now, this is where the problem is.....if you buy spare batteries, which my neighbour did, he bought 20c rating and the heli looses it's tail. We have been trying to figure it out for the longest while. Different settings on the gyro, lower pinion, nothing works...the tail wobbles like an out of control witch on a broom. When we charge and put back the 10c Lipo the heli comes with, it flies fine. Go figure The next heli I would recommend is the E-Flite Blade 400 3D with Spektrum DX6i. Flies like it's on rails..... I've been pounding mine and she flies like the day it was bought. Repairs are easy and parts are cheap.

| Yeah, cp3 is unstable. Belt driven cp heli is MUCH more stable. | |
