Hi.
If anyone is using this ESC with their ES600, would they mind giving me their settings, please.
Many thanks.

Hey,

I am pretty sure no one is using this ESC, however if you have specific questions
on the settings I bet we can help.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your reply.

I'm not used to these programmable ESC's, so here goes.

There are 5 programmable settings as follows:-

Brake Status - disabled, soft, or hard
Timing Status - low, mid, or high
Battery Protection Status - high voltage, middle, or low
Aircraft status - normal airplane, soft start heli, soft start heli with governor mode
Throttle Response Status - standard speed, medium speed, or quick speed.

Brake, I haven't a clue about
Timing. I presume this depends on what engine you use, I am using the stock eSky engine that came with the kit.
Battery Protection. Not sure on this. I am using 18.5v through the ESC to the motor, and 7.4v through the BEC to the Rx. This is to do with what level each cell drops to. Presumably I want it set to a level of 3.2v per cell, when the ESC then reduces power, and I have to land.
Aircraft Status. I imagine I want level 2 which is the soft start for helis, but what is Governor Mode combined with soft start?
Throttle Response. I haven't a clue.

Any help would be much appreciated, as I don't want to fubar stuff on it's maiden flight. I'm not very experienced, and am only just at hovering/forward flight with my Belt!

Many thanks,

Trev.

Hey Trev,

After looking at a manual online this would be my settings. This is what I
would set it for the esmart.

Brake- Disabled
Timing- Mid
Battery protection-Low
Aircraft status- Heli soft start mode1
Throttle response-Med

Good luck buddy. This should work great but if you want hardcore 3D you might have
to change the throttle response setting to quick.

I would use battery protection on medium setting orange73 It is healthier for the batteries :giggle:

True it is healthier for battery but not so healthy for the heli when it comes crashing down
because it shuts off power to the motor. It is a judgement call. Batterys are cheap enough now
so replacing the battery could be cheaper than replacing the crashed parts.

Always time your flights and check battery status afterwards. You will soon find your time
limits for your fly'n style.

BTW I use low protection on every heli and I havnt hurt a battery yet. I take that back...
I forgot to turn my timer on once and stressed out a lipo but it still works 20 flights later.

I really don't think that's on the cards :hahaha:

Many thanks for taking the time to help, Tony :bigthumb:

And thanks also for your input, P3tras
