Hey guys, do you see anything wrong with unwinding the aerial that comes standard wound around the skids on the HBFP, and nicely winding it up, with a cable tie around it, and sitting it inside the canopy(just like on the lama V4).

I have done this, and it looks much better with no ugly aerial wire hanging around the skids.

I have not flown it with it like that yet, it shouldnt make any difference to flight/transmitter reception should it?

I have left a 1-2inch length of it hanging out the rear of the canopy tho, but hardly noticeable.

Looks much cleaner!

What do you guys think?

PS: NUTTCAZE IS THE MAN!!!!!

his youtube clips are awesome, he is so watchable, and listenable(if thats a word!)

He is like the black version of Dave from rcpowers.com! (no racial offence intended)

Tony from New Zealand.

I wouldn't recommend it. You really should get an antenna tube and route the antenna that way. I might be overly cautious, but once you get into forward flight where the heli gets out a little distance from you, an antenna that isn't fully out might lose the signal just long enough to cause a crash. 2cents

I agree with Donnie, use an antenna tube, just to be safe
