Gary....that's simply outstanding. Really good show and control. I believe you can fly away now. Just go for it...fly in figure 8's first....it's easier than cirlces...then go for the circles. You cannot get better if you don't push yourself and believe that you can do it. Really nice hovering and cöntröl.
Cheers.

haha... cöntröl he says.. thanks for the nice words, *GaryX1001 blushes*
the problem is, i dont want to repair the heli at the moment again ^^ and it flys so nice.. i think when i get bored with simple flying around i'll do it myself without thinking too much about it. (8's and stuff)
today i thought it is time to check the idle up switch, it was not too windy and so i just tried it. success!
from now on i will switch always in idle up mode, it flys so much better, more stable and no unwanted uplifts.
here is the vid:

Gary....you have to get accustomed to doing repairs....it's part of the rcmodellers career You have to fly away and back (it's always good to come back) it only costs about $10 max per crash. well...it depends on the crash.
Go for it...and do a vid.

Gary, do you fly with stockblades or carbonfiberblades?

i dont want to get accustomed doing repairs because i crash i try to replace parts before it crashes
i took a vid today in the evening flying the 2nd time and only in IDLE UP mode, and it was really fun! i have just ordered 2 new short rods for the main rotor head, too much backlash now. (more negative pitch compared to positive pich, although pitch gauge says in mid stick position 0 degree, you know how much weight comes when it spins up)
watch this:

i removed the stock blades because they lost the color (flys eat the color when i kill them)
yes, i am using the esky belt 1 carbon blades now.

Gary...what do you mean by 'two short rods for the main rotor head'? Do you mean feathering shafts?
Ok....now for the fun part....soooooo, you have forward flight down, slide right/left and it seems you have circles down with the tail always pointed to you...am I correct? Then you need to start hovering sideways to the left and to the right....then you need to fly figure 8's Oh......never...I repeat....never fly figure 9's...ok
Cheers.

i mean the short rods from the push rod set. there is space in them so they move abit up and down and you are able to swing the blades by ~2-3mm.
im doing sideway hover, just not that save yet i fly to the left and right as you can see in my last vid, i just dont trust yet to fly nose in back to me i'll sure begin soon to fly nose in back to me, high and fast so i see the back fast again
everything needs time, learning by doing

Nice flying, doesn't it look so easy untill you get your Tx in your hands, and then its a whole new world, its then that you get a whole new respect for the people that can fly. Keep up the god work man your doing great. One day I will be able to post a "real" flight.

Niceee flying Gary... I told you that you can do it. Keep up the good work. Practise Practise Practise and you will get braver.... figure 8's and circles won't be a problem. Make sure you practise left and right turns, for it is easy to get accustomed to doing only one turn...left or right. Don't let the brain get too comfortable doing only one turn....practise left and right every flight.
Cheers man.....good flying..

thx @all for the kind words :)
i guess the days of flying and practissing are nearly gone. weather is going to get worse day by day. maybe on the weekend there will be some hours which can be used, but the winter is coming closer and closer. :(

Hi Gary....niceee flying. You have to start flying in front of you always. I see that you have a huge field though. You are learning your lefts and rights and have progressed quickly. One other observation.....don't fly near or into the sun, that's a way bad manoeuver
Now...keep practising, it's the only way you are going to get better. If it's getting cold...like 0 degrees and lower......check the temp range of your gyro. It may not function in cold weather.
Cheers.

hi, thanks :) this heli likes to fly fast, its not always easy to handle it only in front of me. i need to fly - fly - fly to get the feeling. dont know if you know what i mean. you get step by step further without recognizing it. i think this is the better way, so you dont try things which might get your heli in a bad situation and cause a crash. i'll let you know if i can show more :)
