Well been into the RC stuff for awhile, had a 3 digit NAMBA # (No. American Model Boating Association) and raced sport 40 hydros. quit that and got into scale electric ship models, mostly 1/8 scale navy tugboats. You can make a pretty good small propultion unit from a servo. Tried flying rc sailplanes, but after a bad tip stall went back to boats. Got a couple of ship models in the Maritime Museum in Taiwaun. (A 5' "Queen Mary" and a 4 1/2 ' "Titanic") Also built box art models for Revell for awhile. The largest model I built (acually a rebuild) was one of the 38 foot battleship models from the movie "TORA TORA TORA". That was a HOOT! Drug it all over So. Cal doing parades for th Navy. Did 25 years in the Navy, great career. (keep up a good support program for your brother Nuttcaze, he will thank you down the road.) Gotta go, more later if anyone cares. navy1 salute

The consor misinterpreted the last word if NAMBA. It's supposed to be association. Anyway I bought one of those little foam helos and drove my wife crazy crashing into every available vertical surface in the house and triming the leaves off of the plants!, and then decided to move up to something more destructive, something with BIGGER blades so I got an E SKY Hunter co-ax. What a hoot! Really hooked now! My most recentbird is a Honey Bee FP. I can tell you it's kicking my butt. I have been practicing on the sim and doing the Rudd exercises. Helps with the Hunter, time will tell if it helps with the HB--Bruce

:worthy:

Its funny because I never thought that my little brother cared what I thought till I found out he was going into the Navy (we don't exactly have a close family), I was the last one he told because he was scared I wouldn't have approved?? I thought it was funny because I would have been the first one to drop him off at Great Lakes Naval Academy orange71

But since he does care I do wanna show my support for him, got the big NAVY sticker for my back windshield of my car, got a bunch of Navy sweatshirts and t-shirts and a keychain that say's Navy Brother, anyone who knows me knows my little bro is in the Navy.

And I just found out he's getting stationed on the USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier (CVN-65), w00t, I told him I would kick his @ss really bad if he doesn't send me lots of pictures of it (ones that he gets cleared so I don't get him in trouble lol) I love machines and aircraft carriers are at the top of my fasination list so I might be more excited about him going on one then he is orange49

But he graduates A school (?) May 8th from South Carolina and then has his 2 week leave. Then hopefully the carrier is at its homeport (Norfolk, VA) so I can drop him off somewhere close instead of driving to SC again.
