Maintenance Error on website

Hi guys, pretty much everytime I try post I get a maintenance screen for the forum, anybody else seeing this?

Yeah, it is acting kind of twitchy. Navigating back and forth, sometimes I get the screen, sometimes not. Who knows...

Yea same here, the other day I was trying hard to answer a post with a lot of detailed info and when I hit send it gave me the maintenance screen , lost every thing I wrote soooo I rewrote it and hit send and samething again so I said screw it and moved on.........

I've been getting the same thing alot lately, been trying to figure out whats going on but haven't found any answers, might have to finally look into actually adding a forum to my actual website instead of this free one, but I really don't wanna do that because there is soo much info already on here

Yes last saturday i could not even get into the site and then sometimes after that when i
switched between posts a maintenace screen would pop up.

Never had a problem until today. Maintenance screen. Now it seems to work.

holy F$%king hell, not sure what was going on earlier with the forum but its driving me nuts



soo, I've been spending the day trying to figure out how to get a different forum controlled by me and not a free service, arghh what a PIA but holy crap web stuff is confusing

I used to have about 8-sites a year ago... It sounds to me who ever hosts this site for you was doing maintenance on the server and it may have messed something up...

I would contact their support people and tell them what's going on...

I don't remember I got maintenance error. Maybe it only happen when in USA and west Europe on peak time. Where in other part of the world where I live, when I post a reply, is not a peak time in those country, so the traffic is low.

Now everytime I want to post, I can only use standard character and emoticons. The tool bar where we can change the font, size, add link etc is gone.
When the page finish loading, at the bottom left of my broser it says 'Done, but with errors on page'

Is it the same with everybody else?

I still haven't been able to find out why the forum is glitching but if it keeps it up I already have another one I'm setting up (not free)

Hopefully you can *Export* the database from this site and *Import* on the new site so we don't lose and of this great info...

I hope so too, been trying to figure out a way to do it but no luck yet, still trying to figure out all the details and workings of Simple Machines Forums, I have another site running that type of forum but still don't know much about it.

Contact the people who are providing this site for you and ask them if it's possible to export the database and what other forum software would it work with....

If you don't have access to cPanel on the server where this site is hosted I doubt you can do it...

ahhhhh my head is killing me, at this point I guess I prob should have took some kind of course on internet programming stuff, this is some crazy confusing sh!t. Trying to figure out how to make Simple Machines display youtube videos and you need to edit code and all kinds of fun stuff. No wonder them tech geeks make soo much money, lol.

and i also use the phpnuke for site

but for just a forum i would use phpBB
