Dont know if this would be of interest, but I made these pontoons out of cualking foam (tubular-solid) from home depot or lowes- they weigh NOTHING and are very spongy and soft for landings, will float the helis also. I shaped them on a bench sander and cut a half inch deep slot in the top to sink the skids into. they are very secure and I used tape for added color/visability......Just an idea from a noob orange6

I've been thinking of floats but I hadn't thought of using that foam stuff. I would like to try some pond flying.

well for a noob~bob like myself, these help on softening the landing quite a bit too!! Im a professional taxidemist by trade, so I have a shop full of cool componds matrials and the like for the imagination to wander in!! orange72 This heli~C stuff is a challenge to say the last, got a feeling im hooked~~~~oooonnnooooooo orange1 orange71
