This morning I decided I would run a batt thru both my HBFP (stock tx) and my Belt CP (also stock tx) before if left for work. Went out with the Belt and had a great flight. No problem. Took it back into the house and got the HBFP and took it outside. Powered up the tx and plugged in the heli. Imediately the servos started twitching badly and the heli tried to spool up a couple of times. Luckily it didn't go to full throttle and I had hold of it by the skids. I thought my 4 in 1 had gone bad or something. Just couldn't figure out what was going on. Then it hit me. To my horror I realized I still was using the Belt tx.
Unplugged the heli real quick. WHEW!!! Went in, got the right tx and ended up having a great flight. Guess the good Lord was looking out for this dummy.
Moral of story, no matter how long you do this, you have to be on your toes all the time. It is so easy to make a simple mistake that can be catastrophic. Bad enough to crash and damage your heli because of your flying skills, but much, much worse to do it because of a dumb mistake.
