Hey guys,I just bought the Exi450 kit and I have to use an esky 3800kv motor for now. I cannot afford to spend any more money, I want to know which pinion will be good to use with the 3800kv motor ? thanks any help would be appreciated!

Ok Chap, Here are the numbers(approx) Figureing that the EXI is using the same 159 main and your at 3S batt. 11T gonna give you bout 2475 which would be ok.
12T would be bout 2699 and 13 would net you at 2924 which is a little to fast for someone who is new to the EXI So IMO I think you would be best off at 12T.
I think the 11T at 2475 is too slow cause the 2475 is at WFO and you won't be there often so you'd be at a much slower speed where you will be flying at. And the 12T puts you in the 2400/2500 range where you will be flying (75-85%).
This just my opinion. I do think you would be fine with the 13 and you will want to be there after you are flying well, if you went this way you could always use the curve to tame it down till your ready.

Blazemob uses a 3800 with an 11t pinion. Not bad but I def think we should have uses a 12T, but 11t and even the stock 10t pinion will still work though. And the 3800 main shaft size is 2.3mm
