Ele firefox 200

Hi,
You guys are buying big helis, but I dont have enough money for it, so I though I should buy a small one I am thinking about ele firefox 200: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8938&Product_Name=Fire_Fox_EP200_Micro_3D_Helicopter__(KIT_ONLY)
All I need for it is motor, servos and gyro. Do you think belt cp v2 transmitter will work with it? And what do you think about this heli?

nah, don't go smaller, bigger is always better. What shops do you have available to order from besides Hobbycity, maybe we can find you a cheap "BIG" heli kit that you can get parts for.

You see kit isnt very expensive, but other electronics are very expensive for big helis. But for this heli I already have receiver (very cheap, but it will be ok), transmitter (esky), ESC, battery and 1 servo. So this heli will be very cheap for me

yeah but small helis are no fun, can you save a little money here and there for parts for a big heli? You don't need to buy everything at once. I had my E-Smart kit for months before I finally had the money to build it. But simply having the kit made me want to get better and save so I could fly it.

Well, if you're deciding between 450 size and this Firefox, get the bigger heli. If the dilemma is Firefox or nothing of you can get both - I'd say go for it. Motor is $17, the servos are about $3 a piece, and you have the rest. The most expensive thing will be the gyro, but you should be able to reuse it on the bigger heli later.

I'm about to finish mine in fact. It seems to be pulling too much current on 2s for my ESC. I think I'm going to try 3s with the appropriate pinion.

Having tested the ep 200, i would have to say get rid of it. Its a money pit. Save your money and go larger. From what you are going to have to pay in parts and time, and you will......your better off with something bigger. But...we only learn from our mistakes!
So go ahead and make that mistake.

If you buy a smaller heli we will dis-own you, lol, just kidding. Start saving for a bigger heli, you're gonna have on trust me on this one Do Not buy anything just yet, just save your money.
