Rotor Blades

I have a couple of sets of Esky blades for my Belt CP that have no damage except for the plastic covering is torn or damaged in some way. I'm thinking about tearing the plastic off, filling any small nicks, giving them a light sanding and then a couple of coats of paint. I'll of course balance them. I don't see why thay wouldn't work fine.

Anyone tried this?
