Hello All, Thought I would jump in and make a nusiace of myself! LOL I have watched nearly all of NuttCaze's videos and he was the inspiration for me building my E-Smart ES-600. That was many months ago and I have been flying it since! I currently fly the ES600, CX500, HC500 and a CX450 along with the ES600. As you can tell I love this hobby! Thanks NuttCaze for getting me into this hobby!

Thanks for the great comments and welcome. I would be more than happy to help in any way I can... :bigthumb: After building 4 machines I've learned quite a bit, but I'm no expert by any means..I'm sure I'll be asking questions along the road! Welcome painter,

I have some friends living in Florida and most of the time you have the best weather for flying. I myself have to wait until the wind stops blowing and that is not very often in Holland. redface

Hello There Nutt, My wife would like to shoot you! :hahaha: A CX500 is a CopterX 500, basiclly a T-Rex 500 clone, many of the Rex parts fit. I have updated it some with Align parts. Flies very well on a 6S pack with a Scorpion motor with a 13 tooth. My hot-rod though is the HC500. What a beast! Very fast, very powerful! I have a preference to the ES600 though, it is a pleasure to fly! I have a question for you...you said the blades on the ES500 are poor, will an aftermaket set of 425mm blades fit on it? I am thinking of buying an ES500 just to see if I can get some decent flight performance out of it and keep it in my truck when I get the chance to fly when I'm away from home. I plane to use the same parts as you used.

When it comes to wives/girlfriends of victims of this awesome hobby, I am def high on the most wanted list so I try to stay low rip haha

But I wouldn't try 425's on the ES600, 520mm's are the smallest I'd run, I actually have 530's on one of mine but I prefer 550's, but next I'm buying these 570mm's

http://www.helidirect.com/swe-semisymmetrical-frp-fiberglass-570mm-main-blade-p-7477.hdx

With 530's and a 6S around 3000mAh will give the ES600 ALOT more performance but I really like how stable and sedate my ES600's are with bigger blades, everything is easier with the ES600 when it comes to flying, even Blazemob is more comfortable with his ES600 then his HDX 500 (which apparently tried to attack him the other day, lol). Its prob just me but the stability of the ES600 really gives me the confidence to get better and try new things.

But now I'm kinda working backwards, stuff that I will do on my ES600's (loops, inverted hovering, etc) I am just starting to get up the nerve to try with my smaller helis (belt CP V2 and ES500) But I really don't like flying the Belt CP and now that spare parts are available for the ES500, I plan on beating the crap out of that thing while I learn more 3D. I don't like the price of the ES500 but I do like the heli.

Hi Nutt, The 425mm blades I was referring to was for the ES500, not the 600! orange44 I think we got crossed up there! I want to try out the ES500, but I would like to get a decent set of blades for it first thing. I run the SWE Carbon 520's on my 600 and they work well. I tried a set of Rotor Tech 550's and they were OK, but it seemed like the headspeed suffered some, I guess from trying to drag a little more blade through the air. I have to agree with you though, the ES600 is a pleasure to fly! Smooth, stable, and predictable. I have not heard much good about the HDX heli. Pain to work on, and it's flying qualities are not that good. Hope you friend got away from the thing! Anywho, let me know if you would if an aftermaket 425mm blade will fit the ES500. I am looking hard at building one... orange74 :et me know how those 570mm blades work out!
