Should be able to go as high as you want within reason, lift and power will dictate how high, stiffness of blades and pitch also have alot to do with it, just my opinion. Pat :bigthumb:

If you can't get altitude, 9 times out of 10 you have something out of adjustment, or a weak battery. Try another batt if you have one, or check the cell voltage on that one or charge it again. But most of the time it is a simple adjustment problem.

Go thru the whole head, but the fly bar and the paddles are extremely important.

did, just not getting consistent lift. best was 3 or 4 feet for a minute.

one thing I just noticed is that when the heli is a little off the ground and I give it more throttle to lift more the sound coming from the heli goes from an engine only sound to what I'd call a deeper "fluttering" (wind type sound) sound and then the heli just slides in a direction.

any idea what I'm doing wrong?[quote]

Could be a set of weak blades they bend up or cone really bad tie it down on a table with good duct tape and if they are you will see them bend way up, could also be a weak blade grip support the one under the screws, or even broken, like donnie said with the hbfp it,s usually some kind of adjustment, the stock blades can be anywhere from good to a nightmare, just my opinion. ok, I also bought a set of Extreme blades while this was in transit. I'll try those tonight.

Man, did I nail a trash can earlier. Tough little bugger. Hopefully I can figure this out soon.

You'll figure it out. It can be a little tricky to diagnose a problem. Much harder than actually fixing the problem. I've flown my HBFP V1 over 300 times and I still stare at it and scrach my head sometimes.

ok, put on the xtreme blades (plastic ones) and balanced them. I think I had some success! had 10 or 20 short hovers (10 - 30 secs) with ok control and I could get more lift if I wanted. I tried to keep it at about 3 feet when I could. I hope I can repeat tomorrow.

When you stink a battery pack can last an eternity!

I also learned that this thing can do a lot more damage than my lama v4 and I was pretty quick to put it down if it started to dip/sway (when I got it in time).....love the sound of training gear scotting across concrete. Had a bunch of mishaps and mini wall hits but I think all was ok. I love this heli so far and am glad I took this steps.

i also really want to thank everyone here for putting up with all the posts from a new guy. I really like this hobby and don't have a ton of time for it with 2 little kids, so these tips help me make the most of the late nights and weekend spare time.
