Hello Everyone,

I wonder if anyone has any ideas about this. I am a new flyer - only previous experience with lama V4 and sims. When I fly my HBFP and the battery is low the heli is so much more stable. I can hover for much longer. However on a fresh battery (7.4v lipo) I find it much more unstable and harder to hover.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

Many thanks

Tibs

A bit of additional information. I have tried lowering the throttle more on a fresh battery but it seems to make no difference.

Thanks

Maybe less voltage lowers tail motor RPM and the tail is more stable (not spinning) orange78

the thing i notice with a fresh battery is there`s so much power to get it in the air and it`s so responsive.
it only takes a tiny movement on the sticks to change altitude/direction.
as the battery starts to drain the responses don`t seem to be as quick so it means slightly, just slightly, bigger stick movements.
this maybe why you think it`s more stable with a battery that`s losing power because as you`re still learning your stick movements will be slightly exaggerated orange78
keep practicing and it`ll all fall into place, for the first few months i thought it would be IMPOSSIBLE for me to hover nose-in but now it`s as easy as tail-in orange74

That makes sense thanks. I find it difficult to learn as the space I have is quite small. I find that I have to keep throttling down to avoid hitting the wall - which I do a lot anyway sad122

I am thinking of saving my flying to outside on calm days until I get better at hovering in smaller spaces.

Cheers

most of my flying is in my single garage, about 8x16ft.
that gives me boundary markers which makes my flying fairly nice, controlled and precise orange6
if you can control your `Bee` in a confined space it makes it so much easier on the few occasions outside flight is an option(i do live in the uk )orange83
also you say that "i have to keep throttling down to aviod hitting the wall".if i`m in trouble(or should that be when!)what i`ve learnt to do is actually throttle up because the increased power makes my `Bee` more responsive so i`ve more chance of being able to control it to avoid the WALL orange6
