| Hi , im jimtek, hello to all and thanks for all you guys help,,iv been into rc forever, mostly cars,, but after thinking about it ,, researching it and then finaly finding and watching nutz awsomely clear educational vids {i dont know about you guys,,but i can read and get it,,kinda,,or watch a vid and oh yea,,i got it,,the picture worth a thousand words thing, you know,,thx dude} ,,,i figured id take the leap and jump right in with a blue ray se. got it from xheli,in about a week,,good service and it all arrived in good shape,,made some ajustments to it ,,, put on some trainer gear,,, the long ones,,not the short ones that come with it,,a local heli guy gave me one of my first best tips,, allways make the training gear at least if not and inch or 2 longer than your blades,,, it will save your and wallet much pain1 on now learning to hover ,,lol,, he was excatly right ,,they have save my thru six or seven packs now,,not one broken part yet,,something the little six or 8 inch ones would never do,,at least for me. these are abut 12 or 13inches,,about 18 bucks and say right on the package for 450 size heli's. Anyway all is good except for one thing, battery time on my exceed fs-ct6a 6channel transmitter,,, it sux, big time. im use to putting in a set of dura cells in my 2 channel radios and going for months,, but with this one im putting fresh duracells in, and in a bout 45 minits im going from green light to yellow light that indicates half power. seems way to short for me,,like its got an internal short draining the batts or something. i dont know how long before the yellow will turn to red {low},,but im not flying my copter to find out and have it clitch out on me,, actualy i really dont want to fly it in yellow. i pm"d nutz yesterday but he said he really couldnt tellme the time on alcaline batts cause he uses rechargables,,,{buy the way nutz,,what time do you get on those between green and yellow and then between yellow and red,,,{and does the lower voltage effect anything?} anyway can you guys give me some aprox times on 6 channel radios with regular batts{alcaline} and does the times im getting seem way off to you? thanks Jim btw offtopic but heres a few pics of my car,,, oh yea,, im known as RallyJim elseware,,lol | |

| to the forum!!! Nice car you got there! Well I didn't calculate how long does the batteries in tx lasts, but I think longer than yours And if you are just hovering I think you can safely hover with yellow light on tx. But when you see red light immediately land heli and unplug battery. And those LEDs indicates voltage of the batteries. Less voltage= weaker signal. Just don't fly very far with yellow light and you gonna be OK | |

| that is a bad @ss rc car I was thinking about it a bit more and I think that the time it takes to go from green to yellow is very short, even with my rechargables, so I usually flew with the light yellow but being that I had rechargables I would just pop them out from time to time and give a quick 15 min charge. I don't think you'll have a problem flying with the yellow light, but if it goes red def stop and replace the batts | |

| So nutz,,, scince you have the same trans ,,, first question,,, when i see you fly way out about 150 yds im guessing in that big green field,, are you on yellow when you do that? and second,,, if i bought these,,, http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2437557they are 2700mah{better than 2100 average mah} instead of buying an individual charger like 4 at a time for 40bucks could i just buy a plastic batt holder , snap all 8 in and charge with my triton 2 as 9.6v 2700mah setting on the charger? or would i have to mutiply the mah as well? | |

| yeah I was prob on yellow. But I don't see any prob with getting those batteries and charging them like you said, but I have never tried so I can't say for certain. | |

| You can charge batteries that way, but after many charges it will become unbalanced. Better also buy charger that charges each battery independently. And after ~10 discharge/charge rates with triton charger charge every batt with individual battery charger That way they should last much longer :) | |
