now that I've gotten to play with some nicer tail servos, I think I finally understand why you want a fast one, not so that the tail will be more responsive (hence gyro manufactors saying to increase the expo for the rudder) but the real reason is so that they can respond to inputs from the gyro quicker, so that with a quicker tail servo you are less likely to have your tail blow out when you really punch the throttle. But this goes hand in hand with having a nice gyro too.
