If not, can I just pop it back into place?

Yep it has popped off, I had exactly the same and on the ring like push rod, popped off inwards, I thought it was flying a "bit off" aswell, when I got in and stripped the battery out etc I noticed it, just popped it back on and it is flying happily again.
