Today I went out to fly the ES600 (E-Smart) and on the 3rd flight I got a loud screaming noise from it and lost most of the motor power. I got her down with no damage and found the motor was extremely hot. Upon close examination I found the bearing on the pinion end had seized which caused the lower case to shear completely off! Anyone else had this problem or was I just unlucky?

I know the bearings that come in the motor are junk. As well with most of the bearings on the esmart. My bearings failed quickly and in fact I think they were junk from day one.
If you hurry though and get one from BPhobbies they are only $35

Suriano, Thanks for the info....I will get one on order (maybe 2). I was very lucky to get the bird down without any problem....I was sweatin like a ***** in church!

Suriano, Just finished ordering a replacement motor from BP Hobbies. Picked up some spare parts as well, could not go wrong for the price! Also I picked up a Micro Heli delrin main gear, a set of tail blades for the Gaui 500, along with a set of the beefier landing gear struts for the Rex 600. Some 12 tooth pinions (Rhino Gear) finished up the order from HeliDirect. How are those 550 Gaui tail blades working out for ya? The stock upgrade blades from E-Sky are not very good.....
