| I hear a lot about how good the EXI 450 Squadron is. Don't hear a lot about the EXI 450 SE. Was reading a few other forums and many seem to think that the SE is a better heli than the Squadron. Any thoughts before I jump in and buy another EXI | |

| they're pretty much the same thing except the SE version is all CNC where as the Squadron is only partially CNC. But for $60 the Squadron wins my vote | |

| I think the only difference is the boom says EXI, it has a white canopy, it comes with a blade holder, the servo layout is different and the tail is different. Its a hard call as for which one to buy but since I already know what the Squadron is I go for them, they're a slightly newer design. | |

| I have been learning on a HBFP and am coming along.
I'm interested in graduating to a EXI Squadron 450. Would you guys recomend purchasing the listed add-on packages from Xheli for the motor/esc, servos, and gyro? Are they the best choices for a build?
I'm trying to pickup a DX6i transmitter/receiver on ebay for a reasonable price.
I'm going to try to ease my way into 6ch without breaking the bank! I'm also going to learn a lot doing the build.
If you have other suggestions my ears are wide open.
Thanks, Curt | |

| I am to trying to builds on a budget, Flea-bay EK5-0006 motor 30amp esc $30, couldn`t make up my mind on the gyro and the group needs an extra so an I-max and a e-sky HH both rite at $30 ea. Still trying to buck up for the radian servos no worky so I guess I will have to lower my sights to the EXI D113F. Scored a spectrum DX6i $170 with $10 shipping. A pair of 11.1 2200mah delivered $42. Five extra set of glass fiber 325mm blades $25. Now it looks like I need a fast rickshaw driver from hongy kongy and we will be building. Look for us a small group from Cashmere Wa, GTG I hear the belt CP CV2 calling are is that the Big Alpaca they both need a little exercise | |

| Hey Prel, I got this heli about a month ago now, and fyi, the se model has a plastic head and tail rotor assemblies. I wanted the PE but they were not available so I went ahead and pitched out for the CNC all metal head and tail rotor assemblies (purchased as replacement parts). Per their site The ONLY major difference between the Blue Ray 450SE vs Blue Ray 450PE(Premium Edition) is the plastic tail/head-rotor on the SE vs cnc/metal/aluminum tail/head-rotor on the PE . Everything else is the same. Click here to check out the 450 Premium Edition. http://www.xheli.com/exrc2450sert.htmlSo, I am happy with the layout and quality of the 450se, I've heard it is a replica of the Align T-Rex 450, and some parts are said to be interchangeable. So my comment would be, if you want to customize the servos, receiver, and that type of thing, they do have the 450 G2 http://www.xheli.com/arfrag2rche.htmlJust another opinion for ya, Tristar | |

| The EXI 450 PRO is the 1 EXI that isn't a TREX clone. It is cloned off of the Mini Titan e325. I think the only thing campatible with a TREX is the main gears and from what everyone is saying I think I will have to change them. I don't think anyone here has a Mini Titan e325 but from all I read about them, they seem to be a step up from the TREX 450. http://www.xheli.com/newbofrcafae.html | |
