| I have been recently station in the Washington DC area and have been trying to locate a local shop that sell Esky parts. Everyone I call says that Esky is a knockoff of Eflight adn they only carry Eflight. Is this true or is that what they want everyone to think because they can make more money on Eflight?
the reason being is I just ordered my first CP Heli and it is the Belt CP V2 and the ESC caught on fire today on 2nd flight, so Ive been trying to locate a 30a all day locally so I can start flying again ASAP.

That is what I figured as I have actually never heard of Eflight, just Esky. What is a recommended ESC replacement for the CP V2?

| I'm using 40A in all my 450 class helis! I think you can gety away with 30/35 but I'd rather go overkill and not have any problems!! I even use the Platinum HobbyWing 40A in my Outrage G5 with 6S/1300.. | |

Thanks for the quick replies. This is my first CP Heli so I am a novice at them. Is this the one you are referring to? 40A ESCor 40A #2

| Thanks Marc,
I making an order for spare parts while I am at it. I know that there will be quite a few crashes in the future.
I still cant believe the ESC went on the 2nd flight. Luckily it was still on teh ground when the smoke appeared. LOL

| Nutts? Don't you think by the time you mount both the ESC and the BEC you are just as much weight? Plus you are takin up twice the space?? | |

| a little more space but less weight, the first ESC (heavier) he listed didn't come with a BEC included so he would have had to use a seperate one (more wieght), but the second one listed now is a good option, but I'd still save the $17, or better yet, I just bought another Exceed RC 30A ESC for $18 for my new Belt CP V2 $17.95 - http://www.xheli.com/60aspco.htmlI also already have a program card | |

| I actually just saw that one on Xheli when I made my spare parts order. I went ahead and got the CNC head kit from there as well as it seemed to be pretty decent quality. | |

| Cancelled my HK order and just ordered the same ESC for my V2. 46.5g vs 25g. Went with lighter setup, hope I made the right choice. - Nuttcaze wrote:

| I've used several on different 450's and have yet to have any problems, so until I do I'll keep buying them, best value IMO, but man I do love my Hobbywing ESC's, just don't always have the extra money for them. | |

| Yea I really like the HobbyWing's too!!! I really like the platinum's they are a bit pricey but I think there worth it. The 80A I have on the EXI5090 is really nice. The 40A's I have on,well 3 HBK2, Screamer and G5 I have an 80Aopto on the "E" I'm planning on switching to a 100A Platinum on it after the little mishap at the FF so I don't need to worry bout that again. | |

| nuttcaze, Did you find a problem with Belt CP's v2 ESC? Like throttle cutting out to soon?
meanbaby,
That's a good looking ESC from nitro. Its got built in switching BEC. Not many reviews on it though.

| I just don't like the way the ESC spools up the motor, and I keep hearing about the new ESC's catching on fire like the old ones. I have that Excced RC 40A Momentum Series ESC on my EXI 450 Squadron right now. Doesn't really wanna be programmed with my program card though but still works great | |

| Nutt: not using the old programming card right? the one made for this series right? also go to hobbywings site and if you got the usb program card, you can upgrade your firmware
Flag.
ya not much reviews on the monentiums, and mix teviews on the "K" Force from Hobbyking
But as Nutt say, switching bec built in switchable to 6v LVC fully customable!!! heard the govener built in is pretty good by some also
