HBFP: Paddle Control Frame (Outer) "REPAIR"

I had my HBFP for 2 weeks and already broke 2 Paddle Control Frames. Cost $1.50 ea ($3.00 total).

I found a way to repair them, even tested it out with hard crashes and it holds up great. I'm not sure if anyone done this before. Check it out

Broken Paddle Control


Cut out section


Get some sewing pins the same size as broken "balls"


Wrap pin with thread...Nuttz uses similar theory with rotor head


Cut pin and place in Paddle Control Frame


Glue and let set over night...I like to use this glue...It's strong!

I tried to pull the pin out to test the strength and it's SOLID. The whole frame will probably break before the pin does.

Just saved me $3.00 I can use towards my next Heli. Every penny counts cause my money don't grow on any coconut trees in Hawaii

hey man, nice repair and brand of glue. I've already broken one of these paddle frames too and simply glued the ball back, but I cannot match yours superfix. will try it if I break it one more time.

Heres another way of getting around a broken paddle frame if you save the broken ones, just need 2 that each have 1 good small link on them, trim the broken part like in the pic and use the set screws to hold the paddle frame in place on the flybar, I flew with it like that for a long time

the last time i changed one of these paddle frames i reinforced the `balls` with thread and pva glue,similar to what nuttz does on this rotor head vid.



that was about 6mths ago and it`s as strong as ever
