I broke one of the Ring like Push rods off, the ones holding the blades on. (Never fly at night in poor light when you could drift into shadows..not seeing heli = crashing..lesson learned)

My LHS is an E-Flight shop, however I'm wondering if some parts are more or less universal on helis and I could perhaps get them there?

Specifically I'd like to know if ring like push rods could be gotten at most places to fit this copter or are they unique only to the HBFP ?

Grasshopper, if you only broke one, then it's a perfect time to do the o-ring mod! http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9604924&postcount=1820
The bad news is that it is not a fix-all guarantee that you will not break the other link (I speak from experience!). It should help in reducing the number of rods you go through. Next time you do a parts order, this is like the #1 part on Marks list to have on hand. I think they are like 60 cents for a set of two at xheli. It pays to have spares on hand if you are going to be doing serious flying and don't want to have long down times waiting on parts.

you still can fly with only 1 ring pushrod like.
But if you want to do the O-ring, don't put on both side, since O-ring is flexible, it won't hold the blade still. If you can, find a soft one, so during crash it will strecth. Or find one a bit bigger.
I have mine that happen I bought it maybe 10 year ago, so the O-ring is not good anymore. Since I use it, I never broke the ring pushrod like, because the O-sing becomes soft already after all this years.
