RC Helicopters are VERY DANGEROUS!

I was just shown this video and wanted to post it so that people get an idea of how dangerous an RC Helicopter can be.

This is not funny so no jokes about it.

Imagine if it had hit his head or something, or if it was you.

Always remember to be safe when flying your helis.

i dont know how this could possibly be funny...

People don't realise just how dangerous they can be, I have to say, I was one of them. But as my experience and knowledge grows, i've come to learn a great deal of respect for this hobby.

i just watched a Blade 400 indoor vid and the speed/noise it made was scary

Yeah, my Belt CP v2 bit me the other day... I was doing something that required the motor to be connected and the heli to be powered up when I bumped the Idle-Up switch.

NOW I have a piece of tape holding the switch in the NORMAL position.

these are the things you guys need to watch out. be careful, these are not toys, you could get hurt. .

And most important of all (IMO): Always remember:

There are spare parts for your Heli... NEVER are spare parts for you!!

I can love my helis, but if i loose control of them and no chance to control the situation... let them DOWN, no matter the damage, no matter the cost.

A broken blade costs way cheaper than a surgery in your leg.

So... next time, remember, keep ppl way ago from the flying area, keep a safe distance. And if all goes wrong, you and ur family and friends are always first... let the machine blow alone.

Just think you are like real life pilots. Any pilot needs to do his checkup list... no matter w
how long it takes to you, always do your checkup list.

Safety is always first.

When my heli (Robbe Spirit Li) starts up, it is scary to hear how much power it has got. If those rotor blades hit something they will cut if off. That is why I always take good care of the location where I'am flying. Keep your distance (it can hit you too) and watch out for childeren and dogs.

On Youtube I found a clip of a man who was toutching his heli on the top when the heli was under control of helicommand (autopilot). If you want to have a perminant manicure, this is the way.

Make sure you have insurrance when you fly outside and do not do things if you are not 100% in control.

I don't trust the helicommand that much that I will sitck my fingers close to the rotorblades. So the guy had to be drunk or so.

I'am trying to get my mother in law to stick her had on to the blades but she refuses. I don't know why

but I would never get that close on purpose, thats why they are called accidents and my luck thats when something would break

i`m not saying it isn`t dangerous but i don`t see it as the guy advertising something so wreckless.
what i`m saying is the guy was in complete control,the heli was flying beautifully and he did something dangerous,some people thrive on danger(sky diving,bungee jumping etc.)

if someone is gonna watch that vid and think to have a go without having a heli or control like that then they shouldn`t be flying a heli anyway that`d be downright STUPID

i`ve seen a vid where a guy is taking off in his garden with a 450 heli when after a few seconds in the air something breaks and a blade is thrown embedding it in the fence just missing the guy,really scary!

every time we fly a heli there is a potential for danger,the biggest danger comes from the unexpected.

So in basic we all think the same about the danger of heli flying. The best thing we can do is make it as safe as possible. Don't do stupid things when your flying. Most people see a heli as just a toy. They don't see the possible danger.

I for myself am not yet in full control of my heli. So I keep distance and just hoover around when I'am flying outside with my Spirit Li. 1 meter above the ground. For me thats 20 minutes of fun and 1 hour rest. When I'am flying inside with my Honey Bee FP I try a little bit more. I know that my Spitit Li can be a monster when it gets out of control. So somethimes when I think I'am loosing control I just put it on the ground and start all over again. At my age I know my limits and act on it.

For me learning to fly a heli is very hard. I use to race with cars for the national championships and I can't remember that I ever had such a hard time with cars. Heli flying is so hard but I love it so mutch.

The danger starts with the guy has the controls (or do not) I still think it is stupid to show that your helicommand can let you put your finger on your heli. Helicommand do not keep your heli stady in the air. Your heli still moves around and up and down. Maybe a little but still it moves around. But what the he.. its not my finger
