Hey guys...just a change of pace. My and my neighbour flying our jets one evening this week. Lots of fun with friends around. This aspect of the RC Hobby I know well. I've been flying planes for years and I am an Instructor.
Enjoy.

Great flying!
Which MiG is that? Looks like the HC Hobby one. How does two 55mm brushless fans fly compared to one 64/70mm?

Yes....it's the HC Hobby Mig 29. The two 55mm works fine but sucks the juice out of the lipo's. I only get about 3 1/2 minutes of flying time before landing....that's why the spotter told me 20secs to land. Compared to the 64/70....they are about the same speed and power inflight when my EDF unloads into the wind. Take off and landings are a breeze with the stock setup....the zippy 11.1V 2200mah 20C is the right weight for the nose and gives a bit more oomph. When landing the glide path is fantastic....this jet don't want to land...I have to nose it down gently and she almost lands by herself...I just input a bit of flare.
Cheers.

Yeah, that probably stinks about battery life on dual brushless. Then again, I think most brushless EDF's don't even reach five minutes. I'm about four minutes exactly on mine for a 1300mah. It'll do around seven minutes on a 2200mah, but the extra weight means adjusting it for balance.

Wow....that's one huge capacity battery pack. I'll get about 10 minutes flying time...but the weight will change the CG. Jets are hard to balance....you just have to go with manufacturer's specs or else you have to modify. Since this is styrofoam, i don't want to cut, strengthen and shape anything as it is already narrow and everything fits tight. When styrofoam is narrow like this, it becomes weak if you cut it to fit and re-position bigger batteries.....on a landing it might break as the weight of the battery is up front by the nose.
I actually get over 4 minutes of flying time. The ESC cut power once at 5minutes and I had to glide her back to the field to land. Since then I only fly for 3 1/2 minutes to use 80% of the battery pack. Don't want to puff anymore batteries...they are expensive
Cheers.

Ya, that battery pack was a joke. It's probably larger than the entire front nose of the plane, not to mention probably heavier than the plane itself.
