Called "Twinn Rexx" It is very cool but looks very complacated!!!! So its for me!!!! I'm lookin into it now!!! FD, I'm so glad to hear that. As good as you are at building these things and as obsessed (meant as a compliment) as you are with perfection, the detail work required to be good at scale is right up your alley. You will probably be a master at it. Can't wait to see your first scale project. I'm gonna post one I saw for sale over on the freak in a few minutes. It is absolutely unbelievable in the detail in this thing. Donnie D | |

| OH MAN!! Is this thing actually available in a kit? Man if it is you just gotta build this thing. That would be the icing on the cake at the Funfly next year, even if it wasn't complete. I wonder how one of these twin rotor helis are to fly. I understand you don't have to worry about COG so you would be free to install electronics to whatever way was best. Unbelievable. Donnie D You see, this scale stuff is great and you haven't even spent any money.........yet. Tell your wife I'll bring her something nice when I come to the Funfly. | |

| Yes, it is a Hacker motor that is in a modified mount to convert the Lama in the other pictures to electric. Did you view all of the pictures? Both of those helis were converted to electric using that motor arrangement. Fatdaddy is trying to help me use a Scorpion motor in my Bell 47 and I'm gonna try to adapt it to the existing clutch assembly. The Hacker is an inrunner motor, so you can use a clamp type of motor mount with it. Donnie D | |

| Something like that, but the motor is actually clamped by the motor case with a piece of inner tube rubber wrapped around the motor housing to keep it from slipping. He can mount it this way because the Hacker is an inrunner motor. The motor housing doesent rotate like on an outrunner. Take a look at the post. http://runryder.com/helicopter/t136562p3/Just scroll down all the way to the end of page 3. Donnie D | |

| Yeah, I've been thinking about it all day. Got a couple of foggy ideas. The Scorpion is an inrunner, so it can't be clamped, and I think the mounting holes are on the shaft end. I'm thinking about a piece of aluminum plate about 3/16" thick by 59mm wide. That is the inside clearance of the frame. It would have to be about 140mm long to reach between upright frame members to bolt in, but it could be kept light by drilling out excess material. Something like that. I'm still thinkin, it's givin me a headache, but I'll come up with something. I'll know more when the motor gets here and I can mock up the adaptor shaft to it with the clutch. Donnie D | |

| The paint looks great What did you use and did you use primer before painting? For me it is the first time painting a heli. I use to paint my cars but that was easy. Just spray it on the inside of the (clear) body and it was shiny on the outside. But on this heli it is not possible to paint the tail section on the inside. | |

| Hey Donnie, I found some lights that I can program. So the first step is made. Now I have to sandpaper the bode and put some primer on it. But before I do that I will make some pictures and show you how it looks like before painting. The only thing is that I have to take my heli apart. Stil wanted to practice some more. Holland is realy shi... for flying with a heli. Always so much wind. I'am looking for a location to fly indoors but they are hard to find. There are some clubs in Holland for indoor flying a heli but you need a license to fly or you have to fly with an instructor. I don't need an instructor to crash my heli

| Never been to Norh Carolina but it must be great to live there. I have some friends living in Florida (crawfordville) so when I go over there I'll be sure to take the heli with me and go straight to Norh Carolina. | |

| I LOVE scale stuff too, and I also love military. So I had enough spare parts to assemble a base 450 and I found a pretty reasonable deal on this Hughes fuselage from Align. It is a DOG in the air. I am running some motor bought from Hobbycity that has just enough power to get this barely off the ground. I'll be getting a better motor soon. Kent | |
