Before tweaking my pitch, throttle and DR rates to tame the heli, I'd gone through 2 sets of skids. I kept breaking the frames that hold them (too much throttle chopping, and curves not set right).

So, I decided to improvise, it's not that "pretty" but it should get the job done. Took part of a flotation tube (like $5 at Walmart), which is long enough for probably 6 or more of these.
