Hey

I have a HBK2 that has a mode 1 tx, got it as a gift and I guess it came from an ebay merchant on ebay (d'oh!) . Thing is.... I have learned to fly on a mode 2 (left-hand throttle) tx and let me tell you, having the throttle on the right feels totally WRONG! I can't get my brain to focus long enough to keep pushing that right-hand stick to keep her hovering. So...is there any way to reverse the switches that you know of? or should I just bite the bullet and shell out $60 for a new tx? I don't really want to, but if that's the only way, then I will. It's the 0406A tx by the way.

Cheers,
Colin Crazysmile

Thanks dude! woot Now just to figure out the whole mode 1 and 2 problem Crazysmile Can you tell i LOVE these emoticons???

Seriously, if anyone knows how to do it, let me know PLEASE

Sorry About that. When you click on the link it opens a site, on the blue border it says: You requested: The Exchange Of Left and Right Operating Rods.pdf (2.05 MB)
In the left corner just below the blue border it says: Click here to start download..
It's a pdf. doc who expl. how to change the mod.

Hey Brutus

Thanks for that info, I got the link to work. Looks like those instructions are to change a mode 2 to a mode 1, which is the reverse of what I need. I might give it a try and do everything in reverse to what it shows when I have a few hours to spare atomic But I can see myself just buying a new tx orange4 Thanks for the help dude!

Hey again everyone that reads this

Brutus, I managed to switch the sticks following the instructions 100% (TWICE just to make sure), and it worked. The throttle is now on the left, but the rudder and left/right sticks have remained the same as they were .. i.e. I have throttle and left/right on the left stick, and rudder and forward/back on the other stick. Crazysmile so I am just going to order a new tx and shove the crystal from the old one into the new one. I really appreciate your help but it hasn't worked, just thought I'd let everyone know. Also, be careful if you try this as the wires are very short and it can barely reach the operating rods! I am sure there is a way to make it work but I just don't have the technical know-how to do it.

Thanks again orange74

Colin

You'll have to move the potmeter for left/right (aileron) from the left stick to the right,
and the potmeter for rudder from the right stick to the left.
I have done it, and it works orange58
