| I like the head design. I think having the flybar above the blades fly's better. If the price is right and they actually produce it I might get in on one too. | |

| I want a 900 because its an ESky heli but truth be told it will be a complete failure as a heli, when ESky was first going to release it, it would have been VERY popular But in the year and a half that the 900 was delayed, over 10 new 500 class helis have been introduced on the market, and alot are cheaper then what ESky wants to sell the 900 at. That has turned into a complete waste of time for ESky, I'm really not sure if they will eventually bring it out, especially with me making soo much noise about the E-Smart. | |

| Just thinkin out loud!! How bout if ESky doesn't restart the "E" till the 900 sells!!! If they think no one is going to buy the 900 cause their waiting for the "E" to come back maybe they will just wait to reship the "E"!!?? I can't say I agree with you bout the failure bit Nutts, I think the 500 class is going to keep exploding with not just heli's but pilots who want a 500!!!! I love mine it rocks!!! I think it is the perfect size for a first "serious" CP heli!!! You know once you can fly some!! | |

| There are a few problems with ESky waiting to bring the E-Smart back "UNTIL" the 900 sells, the 900 isn't gonna sell, if it had come out last year that would have been one thing but with the EXI 500 at $140 and the new HK-T500 with full CNC will only be $80, ESky has already said it can't compete with those prices so why would someone want to buy the 900 when they can get a T-Rex 500 clone cheaper and have better parts support?
But also the 900 has been delayed for a year and a half, theres no way I want/will wait till they get their act together with that heli before they start making the E-Smart again. By then there will be 10 new 600 size helis all in the same price range as the E-Smart but if all the clones come out first then theres no reason for ESky to ever make a big heli, they just won't be able to compete if they're always a few years behind.
Another problem is I won't endorse the 900 like I do the E-Smart. I know you like your 500 size helis but I still maintain my stance of the E-Smart being a better value, it costs the same to build, uses the same batteries, needs the same amount of space to fly but is bigger and more stable, plus there is almost no such thing as too much wind with the E-Smart, the wind will still toss a 500 around in high winds.
The 500 class is exploding but its getting to its limits, if you look at any heli classifieds, used 500 sizes helis are everywhere, almost as much as used 450's but you almost never see a used heli bigger then a 500 size cause no-oone wants to part with theirs because big helis rule, lol.

| Some other things I know about the ES500 (aka 900) It comes almost fully assembled, unlike the ES600, the only thing that has to be done to the ES500 is bolt the skids and blades on and put the canopy on, thats it. It is what wouls happen if you mixed the Belt CP and ES600 together you get the ES500, they both use 8mm main shafts but the ES500 shaft should be shorter, they also both use 3mm flybars but again the ES500 flybar is going to be shorter. It will come with a blade holder as well as the 15t motor pinion they recommend. Thats it for now, as I learn more I will keep everyone updated. And the reason I started calling it the ES500 is because I feel it better represents the heli versus the name "900" which is very deceiving And also it goes with ES600 I still can't remember who it was that actually first started calling the E-Smart the ES600, I know it wasn't me but I've always liked it. | |

| I am somewhat at a loss as to WHY Esky doesn't hire you, Nuttcaze.
Also, I am completely blown away by WHY Esky would even think about bringing out a 500 class heli with PLASTIC parts, with a HIGH SIDE FLYBAR! Yeah, it might fly Ok, but who in their right mind would EVER compete with that plastic crap? Yeah, they will no doubt offer real parts, but when the 500 market is already CNC bound?????? Everything is metal these days.
I just don't understand this at all.
I actually love the way my ES600 flies. It took a while to figure it out. It needs far LESS agressive settings on the radio. I don't yet know how this all works in great detail yet, other than the ES600 uses leading edge control with it's pitch, where none of my other helis do.
Anyway, please get off of your high horse, Esky. Kent

| I'm not sure I'd wanna work for ESky right now, imagine all the hate mail I'd get about their customer service, lol but if anything I'd just like to help them improve their customer service/support. I do like ESky helis because of what they bring to this hobby, which is a very affordable line of entry level helis. And I really liked the fact that they showed with the ES600 that they are capable of making a VERY nice heli. But ESky seems to be making desicions on their product line based on what the current trend in China is, but I've explained and shown them that they need to stay current with the trends in the rest of the world because there is more "the rest of the world" then there is china I've been telling them they need to seriously look at their current line of products as well as the current trends for the other 80% of the world. They need to make some serious changes, hopefully sooner not later. I really can't figure out what ESky was thinking with the ES500 though, and they're in no hurry to explain to me what the hell they were thinking I was telling them that of the 16 or so 500 size helis currently available, only 4 or 5 were offered with plastic heads, and even those were falling off in sales due to everything else coming with CNC heads these days, even the cheap kits have CNC heads. But I am hopefully that ESky will improve in the near future, they have to if they wish to copmete in todays market. | |

Donnie D The torque tube tail drive is gear driven, with a rod between the gears along with a bearing that rides in the middle of the boom. It does have lower friction than the belt, but I swear if you nicely douse your belt system with pure silicon spray every dozen flights or so, it is close to the same!!! The TT tail gears fail if you look at them wrong. Kent

| A couple funny things about the ES500 -The Kit is said to use 2 different size servos but really only Standard size servos will work. -Since everyone will have to use Standard size servos, the included hardware for mounting the servos won't work. -The kit comes with a motor pinion but it is meant for a 4mm shaft instead of a 5mm like most 500 size helis. -The ES500 alos uses a short motor. -The ENTIRE head is plastic and there are going to be alot of stripped screw holes. -Have fun getting the flybar weights off. -The Blades are the worst tracking blades ever. | |
