When to remove the training gear Empty
PostSubject: When to remove the training gear   When to remove the training gear I_icon_minitimeMon Aug 10, 2009 3:55 pm

Hey all,
I am hoping you can help me out. I have been flying for a little over a month now with my awesome Belt CP V2 (great beginner heli). I have learned to hover, fly forwards and backwards (in a straight line), turn 360 degrees in forward flight (both left and right) and hammer out some funky spins. At what point do you say..."let's clip the zip ties and remove the training gear!"? I mostly fly over grass, so my only fear is it tipping over when I put it down.

Thanks,
Gary

P.S. What are your thoughts on the Art-Tech Genius 250 3D?

If you can hover pretty good, then it is time to remove training gear. And you can leave zip ties on the skids for future training skids installation. And about Genius 250. It is very small heli (smaller then honey bee), so it is hard to control. It will be very hard to do any figures with it orange83
