Well, even though I knew better, I checked out the only two LHS within probably 50 miles today. Seems both of them carry nothing but E-Flight Blade models. $150-200 for a coax, are you freaking kidding me!? And the parts are outrageous. Who can afford to fly them?! $450+ for a CP, I could buy 2 belt v2's with enough spare parts and batteries to keep them in the sky a long time on that kind of $$. The LHS people tell me how great Blades are and that I need to forget the cheap crap I'm working with and move up--right...

Ok, so I didn't expect much going in, but they couldn't even point me to anyone flying heli's locally that I could work with; now that WAS dissapointing! Furthermore, the guy at the first shop tells me that I don't need to worry about the C rating on my LiPo's and that it's really the mah that I should be concerned with. Ok, I have only been tinkering a few weeks, but I know he's full of crap! Crazysmile

You know its funny, because when you look at "their stuff", most of it looks just like the HBFP v1 stuff, same cheap plastic landing gear, frame and for the most part they look like clones of each other (on the FP). I took my 20 year old son in the other day and he said that they looked just like mine, I just smiled and said but mine was less money :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: :chickendance:
The only reason I took him was so he could see the used TREX 600 rtf for $2500.00. Man it is huge

One of my local hobby shop SNHobbies actually sells nothing but clones and the "other" brands like Art-Tech, Esky, etc. He appreciates Align's but also understands that not everyone is rich so he has lots of cheaper options.

Hey Wayne,
It's no wonder that so many hobby shops are going out of business. And they try to blame anything/anyone but themselves.

And you're correct, both the mAH AND the C rating matter.
