The Venom motor will work because the Venom Night Ranger is a clone of the HBFP (might be a walkera clone but its the same thing as the HBFP, just not as good)

The 2nd motor prob won't work, its made for an airplane, I tried using the same type of motor before and it never flew with it so I stuck an original back on

thanks for the info nuttz.is the venom an upgraded motor or is it the same size as the stock esky motor?
just checking to see if i would need to fuse-mod my 4-1 if i tried.
or do you think it`s not worth trying and i should just stick to the stock motor, had a real bad experience with the xtreme 380 motor redface

the venom motor will be almost identical to the stock HBFP motor just has a different sticker on it. Both motors are the same but if you add a fuse then its always a little cheap piece of insurance

so i bought this motor http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130322986061&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ebayphotohosting
it came with a jst connector and white and pink wires.
i took these off to put my old motor wires as well as a 7.5 fuse to protect the 4-1.
i connected the motor to my `Bee`and gave it a little power.
the motor instantly started to smoke and the fuse blew straight away orange78
what i`m wondering is maybe i wired it wrong headbeat
anyone know what relation i should have with the black/red wires to the pink/white motor wires that were originally on the motor orange44
or does it matter which goes where Crazysmile

You can't fry it by connecting it backwards. It will just spin to the other direction. But maybe you shorted it somewhere? Then it is normal that it blew orange3 I say stick with the stock motor orange74

i was pretty sure about that as i have connected a motor the wrong way once and it did indeed just spin the wrong way!
i only bought this motor `cos it was cheap but it seems yet again that cheap isn`t always the best choice orange83
