| Hey man,
I had saw you talking about upgrading the blades on the HBFPV2 somewhere I think? Do you have any recommended upgrades yet for the HBFPV2? Also, would you recommend any of the upgrades to be done immediately for a new flyer or are upgrades detrimental for a new flyer?
Thanks! | |

| its fine as it is but I would get these blades if you can, I plan on getting some too when I have some extra cash, only $20 and they are carbon fiber so you won't have to worry about breaking them but I think they really help the stability of the heli because the blades won't flex like the plastic ones do. Also because they are the same shape and pitch as the original blades its not necessary to upgrade the motor to use these blades (unlike some of the Extreme blades) http://www.heli-world.com/detail.aspx?ID=3685 | |

| I had to ream out the hole's in mine (used a 13/64 drill bit) so they would be loose on the rotor head. So far these blades rock and WOW the tracking and balance is perfect. Now I just need to learn how to fly it, getting very good at crashing and reseting up. You know it's funny, I don't remember having this much wind around in years past. I guess I can blame the wind for my bad flying lol | |

| Does anyone know if heli-world a US vendor aned were they are located? Shipping has been killing me!!!! I guess I could just learn to wait a little longer and pay less shipping. | |

| Hey nuttcaze, maybe you could make sticky with a list of parts for the Honey FPV2? Like those blades you just listed and the parts you talked about in your video. I bet it would help a lot of new to the hobby and new to the fpv2 owners out. | |

| Did I get this right?
Spares:
Blades ( Carbon Fiber Heli World)
Rotor Head
Ring link push rod (several)
Outer paddle control frame
Center Hub (at least 1 on hand)
Main motor and Tail Motor
Tail Rotor and Gear
Mainly not sure if you said ring link push rod, im going to try to find a single place where I can order all this stuff (hopefully a battery too but im not holding my breath).
Is all that stuff the same as on the old honey bee or should I look for parts for the V2?
Also, I am guessing the manual will tell me this but do you need to charge the battery when you first get the Heli. If so, do you need to follow any special first time charging procedures ?

| Yep, those are the parts needed and they are all the same as the V1. Oh, you were right, I did mean ring like push rods.
Def try to get an extra battery, if not now then in the future, but ASAP, you need flight time to get good at flying and more batteries will help you get there quicker.
And when you get the battery, stick it on the charger right away and give it a full charge, the light will go solid green when its done charging.
Important thing about charging batteries: Never Leave charging batteries unattended.

| All those parts will work from hb v1. You might also want to buy spare swash plate. And there is no first charge procedures. But make sure you set up heli properly before first flights Edit: This time Nuttcaze was faster

| All the parts will work, but have any of them been upgraded? Ring like push rods? or Ring Link Push Rods? http://www.xheli.com/ek1-0208.html These? or http://www.xheli.com/ek1-0201.html Those? I am still searching for a good place to buy batteries/spares if anyone has any suggestions. A guy posted a link to a zippy battery that was like 10 bucks which looked great and all the reviews looked great but it was out of stock :( | |

| What do yo guys think....HB CP3 or the Blade CP Pro 2? I have the Blade 400, but I really need a backyard flyer. The Blade is just a bit to quick and needs some running room. | |

HB FP V2 like I got. Although I am a total noob so my advice means nothing at all lol. Although with Xheli's free shipping $100 shipped for one is not a bad price at all.

| Oh yah,
You said it is good to keep extra motors on hand. Well, if I am going to buy extra motors, why don't I just go ahead and buy upgrades instead of replacements? Which ones do you recommend as upgrade motors? I know you said you can plug a direct drive straight in to the V2, so what all do you need to do this? Also, which main motor would you recommend?

| At this moment there are no any much better motors than stock. And stock motor will have more than enough power for your first flights | |

I thought I heard people talking about like a slo max or something? I can't believe there aren't any upgrade motors, that is just sad. But what about the tail motor, you can upgrade it right? Another question, the Honey Bee FP is considered a 250 size right? Can anyone explain to me how you determine if it is 250, 450, 500, 600 etc? Are there set guidelines based on measurements or what?

| Yes, slo max is a great upgrade. But I heard that they don't manufacture it anymore But if you find it anywhere, buy it! And honey bee fp is 300 size heli. I don't know how they calculate it's size And hb uses 255mm fixed pitch blades. Hobby king doesn't sell blades compatible with hb | |

| Yes, you can't use brushless motor with stock equipment. You will need to modify 4in1 and buy brushless ESC if you want to use it. But I think it is not worth it And ESC gives power to the motor | |

| I too wouldn't worry about trying to install a brushless motor unless you decide to keep the HBFP as your main heli, but if you're planning to move to a CP once you can fly the HBFP, just start saving for a CP and skip modding the HBFP | |

Alright I will skip modding it. I am planning on moving to something that can do 3d whenever I master the FP. Anyone have any reccomendation on a cheap easy to fly helicopter that somebody might be able to fly with little to no practice? Ie looking for something friends/family can fly with me but something they don't need skill to fly, maybe a coaxial 2 or 3 channel?

It sounds like in Nuttcazes second video on setting up the HBFPV2 that he says any flybar from a 450 sized helicopter should work. This makes me think it is 450 sized? He says this around 2:38 of the video. Am I hearing wrong? I know he says something 50, 250 or 450 I think 450, does that just mean that you need 450 sized fly bar even though the Heli is 300? Also what kind of canopies can you use on the heli? Can you use only canopies designed for the honey bee or can you use ones for say the T-rex ? I am desperately trying to find some other parts to add to my order for batteries from hobbyking to help pad out the shipping cost. Also, what do you guys think of trying a 1,000 mah battery in the FPV2? They only weigh a couple more grams, or should I stick to strictly 800mah batteries?

| the HBFP is a 300 size heli, its just that the V2 shares the same flybar as alot of 450 sized helis.
Also a 1000mAh will work fine

I hope so, I ordered 3 of the 800 mah and one of the 1,000 mah. I will report how these work when I get my heli wednesday (should have batteries by friday).
