| Nuttcaze please look at last post.
Howdy folks
I have noticed that my tail boom (i think that is the name of it?) has become bent, im guessing from a few of the hard drops I have put on my honey bee fp v2. In one of his videos Nuttcaze said an 8mm hunting arrow would work as a tail boom. Does anyone have any experience using hunting arrows for this? Do they make carbon fiber hunting arrows? Also, anyone know approximately how much a hunting arrow is and how many booms it will make?

| If your in the UK the hunting arrow would probably be more than the cost of 2 new helis!
Actually not sure you would get a hunting arrow in the UK??

| Quite often, carbon fiber arrow shafts are narrower than regular aluminum or wooden arrows... I'm not sure if CF arrow shafts come in 8mm, either. I am also not sure of the length of the HB tail boom, but I am guessing at MOST you could get 3 from an uncut arrow shaft. Is it hard to get arrows in England / Europe? | |

| Well I guess I will go to the walmarts and see if I can find a light 8mm hunting arrow for cheap. If that doesn't work I will go to trying to find an uncut one. You don't perhaps know of an online place with free shipping? | |

| Hunting with bows and crossbows is illegal in the U.K. Not looked but would have thought it would be a license required just to order 1. | |

Wow that sucks. Surely you are allowed to own them and practice archery?

| Hopefully nuttcaze will look in here; I just went to my local Walmart and looked at arrows, they have several different kinds with several different diameter shafts. Thing is I could not figure out how to tell how big around the shaft is (8mm is the correct size right?) and the guy at Walmart, of course, had no clue how to tell. So, Mr.Nutt how or where can you find an 8mm hunting arrow? Is this something people at a hunting/gun type store will know? | |

| Go over to the tool department and borrow a rule, or if they have one, a caliper, and measure the shaft diameter. Donnie D | |

| My buddy Beachcomber used a knitting needle to replace the tail boom on his HBFP. Just another option, he had to run the tail motor wires outside the boom, but it works. For what it's worth! | |

| Measure the broken boom, then find an arrow the same size. Donnie D | |

| Well I also reload ammunition so I have a really nice set of digital calipers. I measured the boom and it is indeed 8mm's. Hey nuttcaze, I know you said to keep you guys updated on my progress, well I just got my bee back up and running the other day but I had been to busy to fly any until this weekend. It looks like I can hover pretty decently. I made a video that I will post if anyone is interested. I also have a video of me wrecking incase anyone wants to see that, just to prove how tough the Honey Bee is, I am SO GLAD I got the honey bee V2 because man is it tough, I feel as though I would have broken any lesser helicopter about 10 times by now. | |
