Belt-CP Rotor Gear...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

I've been playing with the Heli in my small apartment and I just run it up a little to kinda break it in... Last night I was giving it more throttle to see where it would start to take off and I hit it full throttle for a couple of seconds by mistake and then went back to zero in a hurry...

Then Boom I hear this horrible noise while it's slowing down... It sheared off nearly half the teeth on the gear.... This thing has way to much torque!!!! hahaha

I ordered 2-gears just in case and I think I may get a Barebones Belt-CP to have around in case I trash this thing if I ever get it in the air....

I also either burned up a bit or wore out my 8.4v NiMH's for the HPFP, they have barely any power after being charged and I can only get about 6-inches off the ground for a minute or so then they start losing charge... Good thing I ordered 3-Mystery 7.4V 900mAh Lipo's....

This is definitely becoming an expensive hobby....

You mean main gear? Stock main gear on belt cp sucks! Better install blade 400 main gear

I replaced it last night but I will check out the Blade 400 one...

also watch the throttle management



too quick on the sticks ::::: and strip the little
it soundds like you need to learn a little throttle management
if you move the throttle too fast it will spin up too fast and the motor cant keep up
move the stick more smoothly.
this is a problem with most people and throttles

Also keep any and all lubrication of any type away from the one way bearing between the top and bottom gears. It will cause the gears to be slow to engage each other which will jerk the crap out of the heli on spin up. If you think you have this problem, just take the two gears apart from each other, and clean the bearing with acetone to remove all traces of lube. It still may take a few spin ups to get it working right again.
