Ive noticed at hover headspeed, the light on my 4in1 alternates between red and green, and it appears to be correlated to throttle inputs. I cant be sure as I have a hard enough time keeping the whole contraption airborne, let alone keeping on side facing me. Whats this mean?

To be honest, I don't really have a clue as to what it means, but mine has been doing the same thing since I've had it and I have close to 300 flights on it and no problems yet.

Don't give it another thought and just fly. It aparently is not something to be concerned about.

Just what i wanted to hear. Took her out tonight and had lots of passers-by temporary audiences. Only two landings where the top part was the down part, nothing broke.

She need some proportion adjustment, but after scooting around the kitchen floor, i think its dialed in. that little screw is touchy!

Side note, how far up to you crank the "gain"? Should i keep adding until the tail gets the shakes? or is there any benefit? The tail response is far to slow to me, and throttle adjustments of any severity spin it 1/4 of the way around before the tail catches up. I need a head hold gyro... Wink

You peobably don't want my advice, but save your money. Use the HBFP as a trainer as it is, and when you feel ready, move up to a CP heli. All the way up, and get yourself an E-Smart. You will learn a lot from the build and you will love the heli.

Just use and enjoy the HBFP as a trainer and use your money for a CP heli later.

The red light comes on when full throttle is applied. Any less is green. Kinda means that is all she's got! I have my gain set at 9 o'clock on both of mine. Seems to work fine, for me, anyway. Tail is set about 11 o'clock. Hope this helps! Crazysmile

You can't ask other people for the gain setting. I you buy 2 heli, I'm sure the setting of gain and proportional will be different among those 2.

On my heli, when in full charge battery, the nose tend to swing right. After a while, it tend to swing left. I don't know if I need to set the gain or proportional.

Donnie-I think that is the plan. My post should have read (I need a big CP bird with a)head hold gyro!

Thanks for the input. Pinguin, that is my suspicion. I will just keep bumping it up. Mine likes to swing the tail around wildly in a stable hover. It looks like errant signals or a cheap TX, but I also have my Tx antenna coiled around a metal rod, which might not be helping.

Definately get it off the metal rod. If nothing else just wind it on the tail boom.

Whoops- I mean the Rx antenna on the bird itself. I bought a flybar for some other heli thinking it was carbon fiber, as a way to get the antenna off the skids.
