| just changed the main gear, can`t believe how quiet it is now!couldn`t get the main shaft out, unfastened the grub screw holding the collar on but it still wouldn`t budge.had to unscrew the metal centre part of the main gear and change it that way.is the main shaft glued in somehow as it seemed to be stuck fast? | |

| It shouldn't be glued but I have heard of many people fighting to get the main shaft out, I always say "When in doubt, Hammer it out!" | |

that`s a great quote!!it really was stuck fast,if i had tried much more i`m sure the frame or something else would have snapped.changing it the way i did was so easy anyway, that is the simplest way i`m sure.no need to take off the blades, fly bar, centre hub etc, just 4 screws and off it comes. | |

| The shaft gets burrs on it that have to be removed with Emory cloth or sand paper. | |

| I ended up using my dremel to grind it down, the sand paper was taking too long | |
