I think you will get it...All my arms are straight. You should, in my opinion set up
the 450 with 12 +- pitch and all arms will be straight with a little tweaking to the
linkage arms. Then you can dial down the swashmix to get 10 if you need it. Judging from
your vids and your excitement to get better, I think you should fly with +- 12.
You work hard on your heli's so I think you will get it. I am surprised no one else
has replied to this thread? Anyway yes your arms should be straight, atleast
as straight as you can get them. Also measure all links afterwards to get them
all the same length for both blades. Then track your blades and you should be
good.
If you have been fly'n with 9 as your pitch, be prepaired for the 12 to be more
responsive. It makes rolls smooth and fast. The transition between normal and
inverted flight is faster. More fun too....
