| I use both 5S/4800 and 6S/5000... Now keep in mind that I don't 3D or anything close... I hoover in motion!! I don't see any diff. in power between the two... I guess if you were punching out HARD you might see something but I don't!!! | |

i'm thinking of possibly switching to Anderson's PowerPole connectors they seem to be pretty good... the "30 amp rated" connectors can apparently handle 60+ amps continuous and up to 150 amps peak. check these sites out. plus they seem alot easier to solder than those stoopid Deans plugs!
http://www.flyrc.com/articles/using_powerpole_1.shtml http://www.powerwerx.com/anderson-powerpoles/powerpole-sets/ Hey , I am not a huge deans plug fan either and these plugs look interesting. for sure! Only one thing to really consider.... Do I want to spend that much $ to convert everything over? Probably.......... | |

| We use 75 and 50Amp Anderson power polls at our school SAE shop, the real nice thing about them is that if you proper installed (solder/cramped) them it is possible to disconnect them with one hand. Also for the fun of it we use pink and green housings. The draw back as always when you get into something new expect to spend money. A set (includes all parts needed for a single connector. In a 30amp powerpoles a set is (1) Red housing, (1) Black housing, (2) contacts and (1) roll pin.) usually goes for a buck each, a cramping tool (or you can solder) for a 40 and a contact removal tool for another 20. However you don't use shrink tubing. On the other hand DX sells set of 10 Dean (10 male 10 female) connectors for less than 10 bucks. Here some links with more info on Power Polls. http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=56967&highlight=Anderson+Powerpolehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8ODI8fAU_k | |
