This is the better blade grip. It's balls won't fall off.

| Thats some cool looking stuff. I really like the frames. I keep waiting for the 4in1 mount to break off on mine, it seems real flimsey. Ang thank you Nuttcaze for this forum-- :worthy: YOU THE MAN!! | |

hey there big man, i`ve had my hbfp for about 18 months now so i can fly it pretty good. it`s the only heli i have got so i can`t compare with other heli`s but i have always thought that you should be able to control the tail a little more. hopefully with the xtreme dd tail mod i might achieve this, maybe not but it`s worth a try

| I am thinking of putting the carbon fiber blades from nuttcaze site http://www.heli-world.com/detail.aspx?ID=3685 on my HBFP. My question is, will it require moding or replacing any other parts (am having trouble tracking my blades) and is it worth the cost $19.95? Are they harder to break than stock ones? My hbfp is 100% bone stock. | |

| I am a newbie and only own HB FP. I am planning to go forward to 6ch heli. So I fly the HB FP only to learn how to fly heli. My goal is the 6ch one. Do you thing it's worth it to upgrade some parts with Xtreme part, such as blade holder, paddle control frame, etc ? But I'm planning to upgrade to Xtreme blade (hoping the tracking is much better) and DD tail. | |

| Those Carbon Fiber blades are great, I highly recommend them, the stock set-up is fine for them,
The only parts I would upgrade (besides the blades) are the paddle control frame and go with a metal flybar from a 450 size heli, just cut it a bit shorter. Keep the rest stock and save for a CP.

| Subject: Airwold body mod? Sun Sep 06, 2009 3:09 am | |
| First of all, what class or size is the HBFP V2? 300?
Do you know where I can get an Airwolf body to put around this copter? How hard would it be and what mods would I have to make to ensure it still flew good? Or maybe you can recommend another FP helicopter to use to make an Airwolf. I'm not happy with the Airwolf's they have out there now... they are all coaxial, and I'm tired of coaxial.
Thanks, Lon | |

Watch for this heli to come back in stock, this might be exactly what you're looking for except it'd need a quick coat of black paint, but I know nothing about this heli so I really can't give you any advice on it

That's pretty cool, except to be super picky AIrwolf had a 2 blade tail rotor, lol. Also, do the wheels retract on this chopper? And as far as painting, I have never done that before. Any tips, like what kind of paint to use and the method? Maybeyou can point me to a website that specializes in these kinds of mods. You site is awesome, and I love your reviews and how to videos. Lon This is a shaft-driven tail heli. I saw one with a shaft drive when I was first getting into heli's and it had terrible reviews. The guys who own this are already putting Direct Drive tails on them. The wheels do not retract and the canopy does not allow for it easily. The name is part of the Walkera random number and letter generating system they use to name their heli's. When it first came out, I thought the 180 was related to its class/ size. It's not. It's the size of a HBFP. FWIW, Most Xtreme "stuff" isn't worth it, as far as I'm concerned. Most people who want to be able to do a quick change from one set of blades to another find the rotor head impossible to get working. You have to assemble it on the heli in pieces because if you try to snap it on, it doesn't fit right. The metal center hub/shaft assembly breaks where the pin goes through. The 8 Degree wooden blades have such a crappy coating on them that it flakes off in big chunks just looking at it. The 380 motors burn up 4-in-1's. Get the idea?

| Subject: motor fuse Thu Oct 01, 2009 2:00 am | |
| I have a question about fuses on the my HBFP V2. I was flying mine a while ago and a breez took it and rammed it into the ground a week out of the box. It sucked but what happened is the blades stopped spinning along with the motor but the throttle was still up. My 4 in 1 basically burned itself because i saw smoke coming from the box. After I took it apart i realized it had burned straight through both boards and the casing between them. Is there a fuse system i could get so that if this ever happens again i dont have to spend 60 bucks buying a new one? | |

which blades are you talking about, the Xtreme fiber reinforced ones? I'm looking for some blades that are durable because that's the only piece that always breaks for me (probably because of the Xtreme blade grip i have :/). Any reccomendations for a begginner?
